The Sacramento Region’s Nearest Staffed Bitcoin Counter
From Elk Grove to Roseville, the nearest place to trade Bitcoin with a person instead of a screen is our Stockton store, under an hour down the corridor. Staff who do this all day sit on the other side of the counter, the rate and the fee are confirmed with you before you pay, and there is someone to call afterwards. That last part matters more than it used to: the largest kiosk operator in the country filed Chapter 11 in May 2026 and the US kiosk count fell by roughly a third in the first half of the year. The demand did not disappear with the machines.
What replaced the machine: a counter
A kiosk was always a bad deal dressed up as convenience — commonly 8–20%+ over the market rate, capped at $1,000 a day under California’s AB 39, and no one to call when it eats your cash. A staffed counter is the opposite trade: the live market quote on screen, one trade fee shown before you pay, the rate confirmed when you approve it, ID verified, receipt printed.
